Wafflestompers

He asked her if she was up to climb the volcano the day after. She nodded enthusiastically. He asked her if she had good climbing shoes. She pointed at the corner of the patio, where she placed the shoes she walked to his house with. They were sturdy, greyish wafflestompers, some mud still on the untied shoelaces.
