He always caused her uneasiness. In his manner, he was precise and polite, he cleaned the house, he always did physical exercise and when he returned home late at night he never bothered the other flatmates with inappropriate noises.
She pondered then, that it was his eyes to cause her unsettlement. He barely looked at other people, like if their presence in the room was unnecessary to his existence. But it was not the case, she could tell it when his eyes accidentally fell on her, wounded and then retracted with the same speed of a snail’s eye when touched, humbly receding in their social space of comfort – most of the times down on the floor.
