She organized a barbecue for that timid glimmer of summer on a Sunday afternoon. She loved meat: she bought 4 packs of ribs, 22 meat skewers – 16 pork and 6 chicken -, some mince to spice up and make burgers with, 6 long sausages – she loved to spread them raw on a slice of bread and roast them altogether on the grill – and a couple of beef tails that Renata, the owner of her favourite butchery, told to be a barbecue must-have in the country she came from.
She came back home satisfied, but as soon as she unpacked the shopping, she reluctantly realized that 7 out of the 18 guests were vegans and vegetarians.
