Blandishment

The man was visibly drunk. Or mentally ill. Anyway, he promised nothing fun. He started screaming something unclear, waving his crooked hands up his head, his eyes staring at the room with amazement, fear, aggression – yes, altogether.   She could do anything but clutching to the small blanket, afraid to show her body. The other girl took the lead, engaging in a conversation full of compliments and reassurance words, aimed to flatter that agitated soul, which indeed relaxed the tensed muscles of his face, turned down the voice volume, took a seat and started watching quietly the movie with them.
