He admitted to himself that the museum he has been dragged in had been a delightful surprise – the encrusted and golden jewellery women wore hundreds years ago were not beautiful only, as they also expressed some fierce, vigorous character – such as a necklace whose shape and surface resembled a snake with its scales.
