The room was half full. Not too crowded to not stretch the arms, not too empty to feel like leaving. That would have been perfect if he was confident enough to follow the music without feeling like a tin man. But she was there also, and she was dancing like nobody’s watching, or rather as if all the world was staring at her. He felt restless, he was envious of the attention she received, or was he upset because his pair of eyes were part of the audience? He started copying some of her moves: tiny attempts to get closer to her. She noticed, stopped her head from dangling and cracked a smile to him.
